LASIK Reader’s Question:
Has anyone had Lasik Eye Surgery?

I’ve had glasses for about 10 years now, and i’m quite comfortable with them. I’d love to move on to contacts, but my mom and dad (my dad is an opthalmologist, an eye doctor) said i should just have Lasik done.

Does anyone have any experience with Lasik? Has anyone gotten the surgery done? I’m wondering what it’s like, do you like it better than contacts? And did it hurt when they cut your eye open?

I had the Lasik surgery after the surgery. I however did not, the surgeon told me that the reason I didn’t experience any discomfort was probably due to the fact that I never wore contacts.

I think that you might still be too young for Lasik. Your eye prescription needs to be stable for a few years, there is no point getting the Lasik surgery if your prescription changes on an annual basis.
